Perdo Corpus

Evidence to Damn a sibling

PeCo Level 3

R: Personal, D: momentary, T: individual

The caster’s body is damaged in some minor non-debilitating way such as getting a black eye or being covered with boils.

Contributor: Tyrrell.

Notes: From Tyrrell’s big list of level three spells

The Immaculately Groomed Magus

PeCo 5 (Re)

R: Personal, D: Momentary, T: Part

This spell grooms the casters hair and beard, grooming him to perfection. It can be used on any part of the body as needed, can trim or shave, and always leaves them looking neat (add +3 if any Finesse roll is required for style). Constantius of Jerbiton invented this spell to compensate for a Twilight Scar that causes his hair to grow quickly and out of control. He uses this spell several times a day.

(B:3, R: Personal, D: Momentary, T: Part +1, Rego Requisite enhances function +1)

Contributor: Mark Faulkner

The Evil Eye

PeCo 5

The glace of the caster causes the target excruciating pain. Caster's eyes flash a vibrant blue.

(Base: 4, R: Eye +1, D: Momentary, T: Individual)

Contributor: Andrew Mitchell

The All Over Burn

PeCo 10

R: Sight, D: Momentary, T: Individual

Gives the target an uncomfortable sunburn making them distracted and libel to take off all but the most comfortable armor and clothing unless they make a stamina + applicable personality trait roll of 6+(Stoic, Shy, Cautious, etc.). If they do not relieve themselves of any uncomfortable burden, they suffer -2 to any actions that require movement. The burn lasts until treated by a Medicine roll of 3+ or a full day passes.

(Base 3, +3 Sight)

Contributer: angafea

Notes: From the message level 10-15 spells project.

The Phantom Barber

PeCo 10

The target of this spell develops an extreme form of hair loss, typified by great clumps of hair coming loose in their hands and tufts falling out when they move their head. Over the course of a day the spell slowly causes the person to lose all their hair so that, by the time the spell ends, they are completely bald.

Fredrick of Ex-Miscellanea developed this spell to punish merchants or traders who tried to deceive him in their dealings. His sigil means that when he casts the spell the hair falls out leaving rings and circular tufts.

(Base: 3, R: Touch +1, D: Sun +2, T: Individual)

Contributer: Badger101, transcribed by Yair

The Torturer's Touch

PeCo 10

R: Touch, D: Diameter, T: Individual

This nasty spell inflicts intense pain on the target where touched. The target is unable to do anything but writhe and scream unless they make a Stamina roll of 9+, even so, all actions are at -3.

(Base 4, +1 Touch, +1 Diam)

Contributer: angafea

Notes: From the message level 10-15 spells project.

Road’s Revenge

PeCo 15 Faerie

R: Road, D: Momentary, T: Part

The feet of the target become too sore to walk upon without great pain. This damage heals as a light wound.

(Base 5,+2 range)

Contributer: Tyrrell

Notes : Casting Traveler's Awareness (see the intellego imagonem spells) before this spell will allow the caster to use the spell on distant targets. The spell can not be used upon distant targets without some way of sensing them because of the law of Arcane connections.

The Weary Step of the Uphill Path

PeCo 20 Faerie

R: Road, D: Momentray, T: Individual

This curse causes the target to lose one fatigue level, as if the path were suddenly much more uphill than it appeared.

“No, stranger, this road is too long and steep for you to travel. Turn back while you may!”

(B: 10, R: Road +2, D: Momentary, T: Individual)

Contributer: Badger101, transcribed by Yair

A Pox on Your House

Sting of a Score of Wasps

PeCo20, (Req: Animal)

R: Voice, D: Diameter, T: Individual

(B:4, R: Voice +2, D: Diameter +1, T: Individual, Increased Intensity of Pain +1)

Blind to the Road’s Bend

PeCo 30 Faerie

“Now you shall pay for your stubbornness! You have brought this upon yourself!”

(B: 20, R: Road +2, D: Momentary, T: Individual)

Contributer: Badger101, transcribed by Yair

(B:10, R: Sight +3, D: Momentary, T: Individual, Requisite enhances effect +1)

Contributor: Mark Faulkner

Word of Pain

PeCo30, (Req: Animal)

R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Group

Your voice causes pain and injury to all who hear the Word of Pain, be they man, bird, beast, or any animate living being. They all suffer a -6 penalty to all actions that round because of the agony, and must make a Stamina Stress roll of 6+ or loose a Fatigue Level recovering from the jolt of pain.

(B:10, R: Voice +2, D: Momentary, T: Group +2, Requisite enhances effect +1, reduced effect -1)

Contributor: Mark Faulkner

Incantation of the Touch of Death

PeCo 35

R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual

When the words of this spell are invoked, the caster’s hand becomes black and cold, and the next person that they touch will die suddenly from a massive stroke or aneurism, convulsing with seizures as they do. The Touch is only available for the single round in which it is cast, and fades away unused.

(B:30, R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual, black cold hand is purely Cosmetic)

Contributor: Mark Faulkner

Notes: Designed to emulate the death spell used by the Order of Odin known as the Hand of Glory

Swift Knife of the Chirugeon

PeCo 30

R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Part

Severs a gangrenous or otherwise infected limb so that the person might survive. The limb is removed at a joint along its length (i.e. for an arm it would be the wrist, elbow or shoulder) and comes away cleanly. The remaining wound must have ‘The Cauterising Flame’ cast immediately upon it, so that the person does not suffer the equivalent of a Heavy Wound. The target of this spell will pick up a flaw (e.g. missing hand) as a result of its use.

Determined to demonstrate that even arts traditionally associated with violence can be turned to healing, Canneta presents this spell as an alternative to Creo magics. It is unlikely that a Magus would wish such a drastic assault in the name of healing, but it has found use in saving the lives of companions and grogs in covenants where vis is scarce.

(B: 20, R: Touch +1, D: Momentary, T: Part +1)

Contributer: Badger101, transcribed by Yair

Form of the Phantasmal Magus

PeCo 45

R: Personal, D: Sun, T: Individual

This spell removes the quality of solidity from a magus, which causes them to become phantasmal and ghostly as long as they maintain concentration. In this state, they can walk through walls and cannot be harmed by any physical means. The spell has a duration of Sun, but can be ended at any time by concentrating. However, whenever the spell ends, if you materialize wholly or partially materialize interposed with anything solid, severe injury or death could result. This was invented by the Archmagus Constantius of Jerbiton.

(B:40, R: Personal, D: Sun +2, T: Individual)

Contributor: Mark Faulkner

Curse of Avenging Cold

PeCo (req: Ig) 50 Faerie Ritual; Bargain

R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Ind

A faerie curse, if the subject breaks the bargain he is afflicted by unnatural coldness for a day, losing a Fatigue level for the duration. At the end of the day, he must make an aging roll with a +1 modifier.

Contributer: Yair

Mage's Massacre

PeCo 40

R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Structure

Delivers an incapacitating wound to everyone within a structure.

(Base 20, +1 Touch, +3 Structure)

Contributor: Max Leidner

Notes: This is derived from Nzld's "Slaying the inhabitants of the castle". Although not as powerful, it can be cast without a ritual, and you will have a better chance at penetrating magic resistance.

Slaying the Inhabitants of the Castle

PeCo 50 Ritual

R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Structure

Kills every person within a single structure, such as a castle, keep, or manor house. The people simply keel over and die, with no apparant cause. The spell must penetrate Magic Resistance to kill an individual.

(Base 30, +1 Touch, +3 Structure)

Contributer: Nzld.

Notes: Why is this spell a ritual? (Erik T)

Notes: Level 50+ requires ritual (unfortunately).

Invocation of the Curse of Death

PeCo 50 Ritual (Cosmetic Requisites: Mentem, Imaginem, Rego)

R: Arcane, D: Momentary, T: Individual

This spell pronounces a Death Curse upon someone whom you possess an Arcane Connection to. The target dies in their sleep while suffering horrible nightmares directed by the caster.

(B:30, R: Arcane +4, D: Momentary, T: Individual, Requisites are Cosmetic)

Contributor: Scott Johnson, as transcribed by Mark Faulkner

Notes: Invented by Newyn of Merinita, because his vengeance has a long reach.

The City of Death

PeCo 75 Ritual

R: Sight, D: Momentary, T: Boundary

This terrible spell shrivels the flesh of every human in the city it targets, destroying it completely and leaving only bones.

The caster must be able to see the city he targets. The spell can only be cast on a city, village, castle, or similar community.

In the sole time this spell was used to actually raze a city, an emergency tribunal was gathered, its casting was declared an interference with mundane affairs, and the caster was Marched. The quaesitors were careful to retrieve the spell from his sanctum; there are no known copies of it anywhere in the Order.

(Base 30, +3 Sight, +4 Boundary, +2 size)

Contributer: Yair.
